For the last couple of years, I have used the camera as a way to stay close to the rhythm of a place: the movement, the light, the gestures, and the expressions that appear in the middle of a crowd.
I am especially drawn to events with real atmosphere: arraiais, festas, discotecas, religious celebrations, protests, and places in Lisbon where the background matters because people make it alive.
Outside photography, I already spend time around projects, events, audiovisual setups, volunteering, and youth activities. Photography feels like a natural extension of that: being present, paying attention, and trying to keep a good frame from disappearing.
